About

Hola! I’ve always said that if I HAVE to live in Texas, it better be Austin. I didn’t always live here, Mexico used to be home, Mexico the country, not NEW Mexico, the state. My parents were missionaries and my brother and I were along for the ride, We spent A LOT of time in the car, back and forth border crossings. During those trips, when not reading, I would ruminate on life: my own and those we sped by.

Nowadays, I dedicate my energy to my two little girls, my husband, our business, and my job at the public library. I adore books, baking, Mexican food, fashion, bikes, and pop culture to name a few.

On Rumination Avenue, you’ll find musings, how-to, recipes, personal history and a  few things in between. Thanks for stopping by…
